Kazi Koti homestay

Picture
The Kazi Koti homestay is situated in the scenic state of Sikkim in Northern India. Sikkim is a mystical wonderland in the heart of the Eastern Himalayas wedged between Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Writer James Hilton desribed Sikkim as the nearest thing to paradise and it is thought that the mythical Shangri La refers to Sikkim’s ”Wild Alder Pass” or Sangali La.

Here in beautiful Sikkim on top of a forested hill looking up at the world’s third highest mountain (KanchenDzonga, 8598m) you will find our old, tranquil home, which offers accommodation to anyone who would like to experience the essence of Sikkim. Our homestay was built by our great-grandfather 120 years ago and is surrounded by a working small organic farm where, if you like, you can help us in our vegetable gardens, our orchards or with our farm animals. Around the farm you will find pristine forest where you can wander for hours admiring the orchids, giant trees, many varieties of birds, deer and many other animals. In our village you will experience the hospitality of the Lepcha people, the original inhabitants Sikkim. You will enjoy walking around our village, learning about our rich culture and making new friends. And after walking you can relax in our flower garden on one of our comfy hanging garden chairs, reading a book or admiring the mighty snow-capped mountain in the distance.
